Read ahead for some frequently asked questions concerning our new and improved mosquito and tick control. You asked, and we listened! We are now able to control BOTH of these pesky bugs ensuring a safe and enjoyable summer outdoors.

Q: How do you apply the products?

A: Our technicians use a misting backpack to hit target zones throughout your property, such as wood piles, bushes, shrubs, and shaded areas. They will avoid areas such as flowering plants, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens to keep our pollinators safe.

Q: What products do you use in this application?

A: We use a product with an active ingredient called “Permethrin”. All of our products have been approved by Health Canada and target mosquitoes and ticks. It is a synthetic form of the natural flower called the chrysanthemum. This product only is applied by licensed and trained technicians to ensure that both you and the environment are safe.

Q: Is it safe?

A: Absolutely. We practice IPM (Integrated Pest Management). Our technicians receive specialized training by a licensed exterminator. We care about the environment and the health and safety of our communities and always are striving for more environmentally conscious, yet still effective, practices each and every season.

Q: How does the tick control work?

A: The nests of mice and rodents are breeding areas for ticks. While the mice themselves are a member of our ecosystem, we are trying to eliminate them from being carriers of the pesky bug. We place the tick tubes strategically throughout your property and when mice take the cotton back to its nest, the product then penetrates any ticks on its body and effectively eliminates their opportunity to breed.

Q: How many times do you come?

A: We come out and apply a service every 21 – 28 days to allow for protection all summer long.

Q: Is there anything I can do to help reduce these bugs?

A: Yes! As in our lawn care programs, things always work better with combined efforts. Cutting your lawn at 2.5” and reducing any standing water throughout your property will reduce the natural breeding spots. As well as keeping any wood piles or compost away form your living areas will also significantly help!
